Richmond Fog

In print, four times a year: a perfect-bound keepsake, hand-delivered to homes across the avenues, free to read. Online, a few times a week — plus a live daily strip of the neighborhood's weather and tides, and a guide to every screening in the city's independent and repertory cinemas.

Curious, unhurried, a little mischievous. We treat a surf report and a hundred-year-old land scandal with the same straight face. Never boosterish, never a chamber of commerce. Just a love letter to a strange and beautiful corner of San Francisco, reported honestly.

Richmond Fog is free to read and entirely supported by its advertisers. Because the magazine is a quarterly keepsake, an ad here has a long life — it sits on coffee tables for months, not minutes.

We sell annual packages to a small set of anchor advertisers: the neighborhood realtors, restaurants, schools, and shops who want to reach tens of thousands of engaged households across the avenues, in print and online.

Submit a Tip

The best stories come from the neighborhood. A hidden stairway, an unusual neighbor, a closing or an opening, a piece of local lore — if something is happening out in the avenues, we want to hear it.
